Pause Studio at Live Oaklyn, Fort Lauderdale
This was a project we completed at Pause Studio, located within the Live Oaklyn community in Fort Lauderdale—a modern wellness space designed for relaxation, recovery, and, as the name suggests… actually taking a pause.
At over 3,000 square feet, this was a full commercial HVAC buildout tailored to meet the specific needs of a spa environment.
Built for Comfort (and a Little Bit of Quiet)
Spa environments require a different level of HVAC planning. It’s not just about cooling the space, it’s about controlling humidity, maintaining consistent temperatures, and keeping everything running quietly in the background.
For this project, we handled the full installation, including:
- Trane split systems for efficient, reliable cooling
- A dedicated dehumidification system to keep moisture in check
- Custom sheet metal ductwork throughout the space
- Linear slot diffusers for clean, modern air distribution
- Exhaust fans and proper ventilation systems
The goal was simple: create a space that feels calm, comfortable, and consistent from the moment you walk in—no hot spots, no humidity swings, and definitely no loud airflow competing with a relaxation playlist.
Designed for a Modern Wellness Experience
Pause Studio offers a wide range of services, including IV drips, NAD+ and Niagen (NR) therapies, Aescape’s AI-powered massage, infrared sauna, and cryotherapy, among others.
Each of these services comes with its own environmental demands; whether it’s managing humidity from sauna use, maintaining consistent temperatures for treatment rooms, or ensuring proper ventilation throughout the space.
In other words, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes… and it all needs to work together without anyone noticing.
