Before a class even begins, there's a feeling that this isn't your typical fitness studio. Members are rolling out mats, instructors are preparing for class, and the room is alive with anticipation. Then the workout starts, the temperature rises, and the HOTTR™ experience takes over.
Located in the heart of Lake Worth Beach, HOTTR™ has quickly become a destination for those looking to challenge themselves through infrared-heated fitness. Founded by fitness industry leader Monique Crous, the studio combines innovative training methods, a strong sense of community, and a carefully crafted environment designed to help members perform at their best.
Creating that environment, however, requires more than great programming and motivated instructors. Behind the scenes, a carefully installed HVAC system works every day to support the experience that members have come to expect.
Building the Foundation
When HOTTR™ began transforming its space, the goal was clear: create an environment that felt modern, comfortable, and capable of supporting the unique demands of a heated fitness studio.
Nature Air was proud to be part of that vision.
Our team installed a new 5-ton Trane split system to provide reliable climate control throughout the facility. While members may never see the equipment behind the scenes, it's one of the hardest-working parts of the studio, helping maintain the conditions necessary for every class.
The project also included the installation of new ductwork and integration with portions of the existing system. Every component was installed with the goal of delivering consistent airflow throughout the facility while supporting the studio's operational needs.
Performance Meets Design
One of the things that stands out about HOTTR™ is its clean, modern aesthetic.
Rather than treating HVAC components as an afterthought, the project incorporated black architectural diffusers that blend naturally into the design of the space. The result is a polished appearance that complements the studio's atmosphere while still delivering effective air distribution.
It's a small detail, but it's one that reflects the overall attention to detail found throughout the facility.
More Than Just Air Conditioning
Fitness facilities create unique challenges when it comes to indoor comfort.
When dozens of people are moving, training, and pushing themselves through a workout, ventilation and humidity control become just as important as temperature.
To support indoor air quality, Nature Air installed a dedicated fresh-air ventilation system designed to bring outdoor air into the facility. We also installed a commercial-grade dehumidification system to help manage moisture levels and maintain a comfortable environment throughout the day.
For members, that means a more enjoyable workout experience.
For the facility, it means better performance and long-term reliability.
Control Where It Matters
No two classes are exactly alike.
Occupancy levels change, schedules shift, and different areas of the facility may have different comfort requirements throughout the day.
To provide greater flexibility, the project included an EWC zoning control system with dedicated thermostat controls. This allows the facility to manage different areas independently and make adjustments as needed, helping maintain comfort and efficiency throughout the space.
